Annual Quilt Challenge - Festival of Quilts
Freckles Quilt Shop announces its continuing sponsorship of the 10th Annual Quilt Challenge at the Festival of Quilts - Heritage Park, the weekend of May 29 & 30, 2010. Details regarding submission will be available at Freckles Quilt Shop and Heritage Park. This year’s theme is:
HO HO HALLOWEEN
What a great time of the year! All sorts of words come to mind for this particular holiday - ghosts, costumes, candy, chaos, scary, pumpkins, disguises, and most of all fun! Freckles Quilt Shop is challenging you to use one of three Halloween prints to showcase in your boo-tiful, piece. The full fat quarter must be included in the quilt top.
Guidelines:
- 100% cotton fabrics must be used
- Only one entry per contestant.
- Entry deadline – April 15, 2010 (entry form only)
- Size:
Maximum 40” x 40” in any direction
Minimum 20” x 20” in any direction
This requirement will be strictly enforced. - Quilts may be machine or hand quilted or a combination of both.
- Entries which do not meet these basic guidelines will not be included.
- Judging by Viewer’s Choice May 29 & 30, 2010, Festival of Quilts, Heritage Park
- Gift Certificates to be awarded:
1st $200.00
2nd $150.00
3rd $100.00 - Winning Quilts will be displayed at Freckles Quilt Shop for 60 days following the Festival. The winners agree to be responsible for transporting their quilts to Freckles Quilt Shop by Tuesday, June 1, 2010.
